i find myself enjoying an overcast day off, in a Chicago freshly dusted with yet another overnight snow... later, this afternoon, i'm off to band rehearsal, but first i need to map out my strategy for the month, which is heavily booked... the ad (is that
mad?) life keeps me hopping, while my boss vacations in Puerto Vallarta...
next weekend, my daughter, Diana, celebrates her 20th birthday...

no, seriously! my little girl, who loved to be carried facing forward, rather than looking back over my shoulder...
always ready with a helping hand, or, (ahem) a digit...
a girl who developed and continues to evolve her own fashion sense,
with a hunger for knowledge- always picking my brain,
is now a grown woman with her own agenda, and grown-up sense of taste... my God, how the time flies!

soon after, we will begin the arduous task of deciding on the order of each album's content and pondering their release dates...

in other music news, i received word from my reggae band's producer that one of the albums i had a hand in getting finished is now in wide release! this, if you don't already know him, this is Frankie Paul...
Frankie Paul's new tribute album, "Frankie Paul-Respect- Original Songs From Dennis Brown"
has within the last two weeks been released on Boomshot Records, and has been picked up by Traffic Entertainment... my producer thanked me, for my patience and loyalty, as i was the only one who had his back during the company's lean years, following an ongoing war over ownership of the Chi Town Posse's "Positive Vibes" CD,
which, you all know, i played guitars on, and even co-arranged one of it's tracks... now, when he gets checks for Frankie's new album's sales, I will get paid... sweet... so worth the wait...

gotta go do a bit of pre-rehearsal practice, so i hit the ground running this evening... be excellent to each other... and remember...
